A Very Merry Giveaway!

Merry Christmas blog readers! As tempted as I was to do something completely outside the box and go for a navy and hot pink themed Christmas, I kept getting drawn to something more classic, simple, and sophisticated (see inspiration from previous post here). Anyone can easily put this table together with the below ingredients from your local craft store, but for one lucky reader, you won't have to because I'll be boxin' it up and shippin' it to ya!

I wanted to do something fun for this special time of year, so we're celebrating by doing my first ever giveaway here on the blog! To enter to win this holiday table design for 4, simply enter a comment below and tell me your favorite Christmas memory, or simply your favorite thing about this time of year. (Mine would be sailing around the Florida Keys last Christmas on a very questionable boat; that memory will definitely be hard to top.) To enter you must first leave a comment, but for additional entries you can following me on twitter here, and like my Facebook page here. I'll be selecting a winner at noon on Friday (December 16) and then packing it up and shipping it ASAP so that you have time to enjoy it before Christmas day. Sound good?

Here's what you'll get:

(4) red ribbed plate chargers
(4) smaller clear vases
(2) larger clear vases
berries, cinnamon sticks, twigs/branches
(4) gift boxes (to be filled with your own creation, personalized for your guests)
(4) red glittered initials to act as place cards and tree ornaments (I love when things serve a dual purpose...)
*Note: winner is to request the letters of their choice to coordinate with guests' names
(4) speckled feathers
twine
(1) table runner
(4) white cloth napkins

**does not include silverware, plates, goblets

Good luck and merry Christmas!!

WINNER UPDATE: I wanted the drawing to be totally fair (because a lot of times I think these types of things are rigged), so I assigned everyone a number for their comment, then you were given an additional number for a Facebook like, and an additional number for a Twitter follow. That totaled numbers 1-54. I went here and the number that came up was 23, Rebecca!!

Congrats! Let me know what glitter initials you want me to send you and I'll ship it out tomorrow! Merry Christmas!!

  1. I love snow & cold weather. Which translates to I love going home for the holidays. You can be sure some type of "snow play" will be in effect, from snowboarding to sledding with the family. Oh and we also have this awesome record with Nat King Cole, Fred Astaire, Bing Crosby, etc. that's my favorite to hear (yes, I said RECORD). The setting looks so good B! You're awesome.

  2. My favorite Christmas memory was you getting called unto repentance, like unto Ebeneezer Scrooge.

  3. This is such a great table! Simple and pretty! I love all your stuff though :) My favorite thing to do at Christmas is snuggle up in my living room on quiet nights with just the Christmas tree lights on. And my favorite memory is the Christmas my roommates and I convinced one of our roommates she still believed in Santa and then put presents out in the middle of the night for her so she would think santa really came! It was way funnier if you were there :)

  4. Every year as my kids get older Christmas seems to get better and better. I like to see their excitement over the tree, the lights, the cookies.

  10. I love having my children home for the holidays, and then enjoy having the rest of my extended family over for Christmas dinner.

  11. Me: "Mom we should totally tell Britt that we want her to do this table for us for our Christmas."
Mom: "make a comment and maybe you'll win."

If you know my mom, then you know this is totally her. . . haha! This is not an entry, just a funny comment for my amazing sister on her design blog!

So then I'm telling Mom what I wrote in this comment and she proceeds to say, " we need to watch The Holiday. That's what I want it to look like in here." Get home soon sister!!!!! You can take over Mom and the decorating in this place :)

  12. Absolutely Beautiful Table!!! It would be a great excuse to have a party! I would have to say that my favorite Christmas memory was when we were children having a sibling slumber party Christmas Eve and coming down the stairs Christmas morning in order by age. We always felt corny but loved it at the same time.

  13. My most favorite thing about Christmas is the music. Hands down. And one of my best memories is Christmas in New York with my family, and more recently, with my bestie! You are crazy talented Brit! Love you!

  14. The table is beautiful!! My favorite Christmas memory was one year my whole family was able to go to a cabin in the mountains of Utah. This was no small thing, there are 8 kids in my family plus their spouses and children. Most coming from different parts of California and Florida and 3 of us were extremely pregnant( my 2 sisters-in-law were due within days of Christmas). The holiday was so fun and special to have everyone there, then when it was time to leave we all got stuck because it had snowed us in over night! We all had cars not equipped for snow and couldn't get past a section of road where my brother got his minivan stuck! Luckily our SUV (no 4 wheel drive) had enough power to pull the minivan from the spot! Such fun memories!

  16. This is a great idea and simple which always helps when you have a big family. Mine best part of Christmas is the holiday music. Even if your broke and can't buy anything like myself this year cause things have been hard, music always seems to make it better. It gets you in the mood and you can just sit there and listen to something pleasant. My husband and my 3 kids helped out this year in putting up all our xmas decorations up as a family outside and inside. Those are memories to never forget, (kids fighting and things falling LOL).

  17. Great job Brittany! I could think of a few light fixtures to go above that! :)

  18. Beautiful table! I am hosting Christmas dinner this year and have been researching ideas on festive table decorations. I love using small vases and creating mini arrangements throughout the table. I own some small vases and will def. replicate your idea with the berries and twigs. I often use my small vases and place thoughout the house with fresh cut individual flowers. The feather adds a great touch this this very modern look. Nice job! I also love using neurtals with a pop of color! Your website looks amazing and I cannot wait to look through more of your photos. I will be calling you in the new year for a design consoltation. Your looks are very in line with my tatse and I would love your creative help! Thanks and Happy Holidays!

  19. beautiful! my favorite part of christmas is to be home in washington with family. we won't be able to make it up there this year, so we are trying to think of extra festive things to do in the OC instead... think Balboa Christmas Boat Parade + hot cocoa... extra hot cocoa.

  20. Beautiful work Britt. My most memorable Christmas was the one I was stranded in Cancun because I missed my flight. Made me realize how much I love spending Christmas with the ones I love.

  22. My absolute favorite thing about Christmas is that day when it's finally 'the break'. No more work, no more obligations, the only thing you're supposed to do is meet up at Grandma's at 5 on Christmas Eve. I adore pullin up to that West Jordan home, seeing the lights just as I remember them from since I was a kid...walking in and being greeted by the whole fam gathered together and homemade sugar cookies and bowls of m&ms everywhere to be seen! Umm Britt, this setting is amazing and you're amazing. Looove the giveaway!

  23. My favorite part of Christmas is watching the light in the eyes of children as they see the miracles of the Christmas spirit come alive. The most memorable Christmas I had was 14 years ago when I got married (just 7 days before) and spent a wonderful honeymoon in the Black Hills of South Dakota in the snow.

  24. My favorite part of Christmas is seen Santa Claus because when I was in my country Nicaragua I always hope that I could see him one day. For that reason I enjoyed this season of the year because I can see him in many places and I love taking picture with him even though am not a child anymore but inside me, I still am.

  25. So I should win this because you love me and I'm awesome. Or something less cocky. Pretend that I just said something less cocky.

OK, my favorite Christmas was when I was a kid and I got my Jem doll. She was truly outrageous and it was the biggest surprise ever.

Yeah, I've really got nothin there, do I? Dangit.

I love Brittany Stiles!! The table looks darling. You are so talented and I love seeing your work!!
My favorite thing about this time of the year is all the little surprises... like doing the 12 days of Christmas to a family and leaving gifts each night... or doorbell ditching cookies on the porch... or family and friends showing up at your house to christmas carol! I love how generous and thoughtful people are at this time of the year! It makes me happy to see others so happy!

My favorite Christmas...well let's say memorable... is when I forgot to hang stockings for my adult children, although they will always be my babies, & when Santa came he used grocery bags with their names on them for they're wonderful surprises. We still talk about that one. What would make this Christmas even more wonderful would be having a beautiful table setting done by Brittany. You do such beautiful work. Congratulations & Merry Christmas & special holidays to all.
