Thank you Beach Bungalow 8!

After I saw my friend Megan (of Beach Bungalow 8) at last week's social media panel at the Kravet showroom, she emailed and asked if I could send photos of any recent projects that she might be able to post. I'm so appreciative to her for posting about me. I absolutely adore her blog and think she has impeccible taste, so I feel extremely honored to be featured amongst all her other stylish finds.

Now head over to Beach Bungalow 8 and check it out!

Thanks Megan! xoxo

April Fool's

I kind of love April Fool's Day. It's the one day of the year that I can let my inner prankster roam free and my victims can't get (too) mad at me. I really only pulled off 2 April Fool's jokes today, kind of a slow year. Then I got an email from my friend Coleen that I thought for sure was an April Fool's. She sent me a link to La Dolce Vita who featured me on her blog today. Me? I'm not even going to try and play it cool and pretend like I wasn't beyond thrilled and surprised and act like this happens all the time, because I was and it doesn't.

Paloma, thank you so so much for your kind words! Best April Fool's Day ever!

Leanne Marshall

Today I came across Leanne Marshall's blog, Pedals and Waves. Leanne is a fellow FIDM alumna and was Project Runway's season 5 winner. I was, and still am, a big fan.

These are a few photos from her current collection and look book. Below is a custom wedding dress she designed for a client. Amazing!

Below is a photo of Leanne for an interview with Time Out New York.

The Skirted Round Table

My friend Megan Arquette, author of the blog Beach Bungalow 8, participates in recorded discussions with 2 other bloggers as they discuss design topics and interview interesting people associated with the interior design community. I love The Skirted Round Table for a couple of reasons...

1. It's much more insightful to hear someone's voice than read an article. You get a much better feel for their personality and passion for design.

2. Megan, Joni, and Linda are your average down to earth women who love interiors and design, so they always ask their guests the same questions that I want to know the answers to. I feel that editors and reporters sometimes report on or ask things that I don't care much about. In the words of Nacho Libre, these women get down to the "nitty gritty".

Their latest discussion was with Stephen Drucker, editor of my favorite design publication, House Beautiful. What an awesome opportunity for them to interview him and for all of us to be able to listen in. I recommend checking out The Skirted Round Table and seeing what interviews and discussions they have done that might interest you. Some of my favorites have been Stephen Drucker, Charlotte Moss, and Jennifer Boles from the blog "Peak of Chic".
